Man Uploads Pictures Of Tombstone In Pothole To Get Authorities To Fix It ASAP
Malaysia has always had this longggggggstanding problem with potholes on our roads.
Tiny ones, large ones, sinking ones, we've got them all!
Sometimes they are fixed instantly, and sometimes it's just left there for months - to the displeasure of road users.

Frustrated by a lack of action by the authorities, 40-year-old Mohd Safarin, who is part of the Brotherhood Pulau Indah 29 (we'll explain in a bit about this group) decided to take some iconic pictures with one particularly deep pothole along Persiaran Pelabuhan Barat, Bandar Armada Putra, Pulau Indah, Klang.
The hope was to get the attention of those in charge and get them to fix it ASAP.
Here are the pictures.
Talk about legend..dary!
So, what you see there is a tombstone in the pothole!Mohd Safarin also took shots of him looking like he's offering prayers near the tombstone and one with a cangkul over his shoulder as well.

"It was a spontaneous idea meant to alert the local authorities to take urgent action and also a way for us to warn the public via social media," he said when speaking to Rojak Daily.
He said that the pothole was dangerous and could not only damage vehicles but lead to accidents, even fatal ones.
"I did not post it to make fun of people or religion or whatever."
"I came from a good place - to get the attention of the authorities," he said.
Authorities knew of pothole
Safarin said that he along with a few friends who are part of the Brotherhood Pulau Indah 29 made a marking on the road using white paint to alert the authorities on the pothole on the 10th of June."We took a picture of the pothole and sent it to the Klang Municipal Council via email and they acknowledged a few days later but did not fix it," he said.
That's when he decided to take the photographs and post it on social media at around 11pm on 14 June.
"It definitely got their attention and they fixed the pothole the next morning," he said.

Safarin added that the tombstone itself was removed right after the photos were taken.
"It was just a gimmick. After we took the pictures, we removed it. To actually warn motorists, we painted the road with the word 'AWAS' and included an arrow pointing towards the pothole a distance away," he said.
What's the Brotherhood?
For those of you who don't know, The Brotherhood or Brotherhood Malaysia was formed 13 years ago by actor, director and activist Lando Zawawi and his wife.
Members of the Brotherhood Malaysia (and their various branches) go around looking for potholes, marking them and lodging reports to the authorities.
If the authorities fail to act in three days, the group usually forks up their own funds to tar the area on their own.
The tarring that they do however, is meant as a temporary fix until the authorities properly tar the road.
"Our aim is to protect the motorists. We don't want them to end up in accidents, damage their vehicles or lose a limb or their lives because of a pothole," said Safarin.
Safarin added that the Brotherhood Malaysia had about 150 units around the country including in Sabah.
We love the cause and we love this group!
