He was believed to have been born during the reign of the Tsar and fought in World War I before spending the rest of his life as a shepherd after he was deemed too old to fight in World War II.
Sadly, because his birth records have been lost, Iliev’s age cannot be verified by authorities.

According to the news report, Iliev attributed his long life to his lifestyle, which includes sleeping for 11 hours from 7pm to 6am.
He also reportedly avoided doctors and medication as much as possible, and he ate only fresh vegetables from his own garden.
Well, now you know what to do if you want to live to a hundred.
The title of the world’s oldest living person now belongs to 116-year-old Kane Tanaka from Japan.
