Have you been noticing wet weather lately?

You might continue witnessing such weather for some time because the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued an orange level weather alert of heavy rain for several states in Peninsular Malaysia until Nov 27.

News Straits Times, quoting a statement from MetMalaysia director-general Jailan Simon said among the areas that will expect rainfall include Kota Baru, Bachok, Machang, Pasir Puteh and Kuala Krai in Kelantan; and the whole of Pahang and Terengganu.

Be prepared for more rain.
The report also said weather alert warning indicates heavy rain for Perak (Hulu Perak, Kuala Kangsar and Kinta).

Langkawi, Kubang Pasu, Kota Setar, Pokok Sena, Padang Terap, Pendang, Sik and Baling in Kedah; and the whole of Perlis will also be affected from Nov 26 to 27.

"Strong northeasterly winds of between 40 and 50km per hour, with waves up to 3.5 metres high, are expected in the waters of Kelantan, Terengganu, and Pahang during the same period.

"This can result in storm surges in coastal areas and estuaries," he said in the statement.
