This morning, the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) issued severe and alert-level heavy rain warnings to seven states, which are expected to last until this Wednesday (11th Dec).

Continuous heavy rainfall at a severe level is anticipated to affect two districts in Terengganu (Kemaman and Dungun) and five districts in Pahang (Kuantan, Pekan, Jerantut, Maran and Rompin).

Meanwhile, five other states and 12 other districts in Terengganu and Pahang are expected to experience continuous rainfall at the alert level during the same period.

• The entire state of Perlis
• The entire state of Kelantan
• Kedah (Kubang Pasu, Kota Setar, Pokok Sena, Padang Terap, Pendang, Sik and Baling)
• Perak (Hulu Perak) 
• Terengganu (Besut, Setiu, Kuala Nerus, Hulu Terengganu, Kuala Terengganu and Marang)
• Pahang (Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Raub, Bentong, Temerloh and Bera)
• Johor (Segamat, Mersing and Kota Tinggi)
