Mexico Literally Caused An Earthquake Celebrating Their World Cup Goal Against Germany

That's one way to celebrate a goal.

We've seen plenty of crazy World Cup goal celebrations -- Brian Laudrup's sleeping Buddha pose, South Africa's sideline dance-off and Julius Aghahowa's seven front flips, to name a few -- but those will not be crowned the most memorable of all time.

That's because the title belongs to the people of Mexico.

When Mexican winger Hirving Lozano scored the game-winning goal against reigning World Cup winners Germany in the 35th minute on Sunday, the little country apparently celebrated so hard, it was registered as an actual earthquake.

According to CBS Sports, SIMMSA, a seismic monitoring network operated by the Institute of Geological and Atmospheric Research, recorded an 'artificial' earthquake at around the same time Lozano scored the goal.

In fact, two of the city's earthquake sensors were reportedly triggered by the celebrations, according to a tweet by SIMMSA:

"The #earthquake detected in Mexico City originated artificially," SIMMSA said in the tweet, suggesting that "massive jumps" while celebrating the goal might have triggered the readings.

If they have the power to cause an earthquake just by celebrating one goal, imagine what would happen if Mexico wins the World Cup.
