Michael Jackson's Daughter, Paris, To Release First Solo Album
Mellow, beautiful and haunting.
That was our first impression of Paris Jackson's first single 'Let Down'.
Far from being a letdown, the ethereal sound is a stark contrast from the kind of music that her father Michael Jackson was famous for.
We're actually quite excited to hear the rest of the songs from her first solo album 'Wilted' which will be released on 13 November.
Written from her bedroom while coping with heartache following a breakup, 'Wilted' will feature 11 songs that were written and sung by the talented 22-year-old.
A feeling like no other
“It’s one of the greatest feelings I’ve ever experienced, ” Jackson said in an exclusive interview with AP.
“I’m excited, I’m nervous, but I feel confident that the people that are supposed to hear this record are going to hear it. It’s going to reach them.
"And with regards to critics and stuff, I don’t really think they’re going to know how to critique it,” said Paris.
Paris and her two brothers Prince, 23, and Blanker a.k.a. Bigi, 18 were taken in by their grandmother Katherine Jackson following Michael Jackson's death in 2009.
While always attracted to music, Paris has also dabbled in modelling and acting.
When questioned about what her father would think of her music, Paris was honest with her reply.
“I don’t know. I’m not him, so I can’t speak for him. But I hope he would be happy, and I think he would be stoked because I’m happy, ” she said.
