The sudden death of basketball legend Kobe Bryant has sparked a petition asking for his image to be used as the new logo for the National Basketball Association (NBA).
According to a Reuters report carried by The Star, nearly 3 million people have signed the online petition asking for the new logo as a tribute to him.

Celebrities sign petition too

Among those who have signed the petition from Change.org include celebrities like Snoop Dogg, Justin Bieber and Usher.
The petition, which was created by 16-year-old Bryant fan Nick Moghtader, has also become the first petition of 2020 to get more than a million signatures.
The current NBA logo, features the silhouette of Lakers great and Basketball Hall of Famer Jerry West dribbling a ball with his left hand.
Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter were among nine people who died on Sunday after the helicopter they were in crashed into a hillside outside the town of Calabasas, California.
