Be inspired by this story of a mother of three, Kokilam Kathirvailu, who entered the Mrs World 2019 competition at the age of 34 and won the second runner up spot, Astro Awani reported.

In fact, Kokilam defeated participants from 38 countries to win third place.

That's actually a really impressive feat!


The lass, who hails from Kuala Lumpur, won the Mrs Malaysia World 2018-2019 pageant held in the federeal capaital last September.

In an Instagram post, Kokilam said she didn’t expect to win.

“Thank you so much for all the wishes. It was an unexpected double celebration. Birthday and winning Mrs World second runner up. Can’t wait to get back home now”, she wrote.

The Mrs World 2019 pageant saw Jennifer Le from Vietnam taking the crown while Matapa Maila Rikhotso from South Africa emerging as the first runner up.

Founded by David Marmel in 1984, Mrs World is the first and oldest beauty pageant of its kind in the world and now has directors in 80 countries.
