Malaysia’s very own Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) line opened its doors to the public in December 2016 after five years in the making, and thousands of commuters have been benefiting from the Sungai Buloh-Semantan line on a daily basis.

Soon, more people will be able to take a ride on the full MRT line when phase two of the Sungai Buloh-Kajang begins operation in July.

The second phase, which covers Jalan Semantan to Kajang, will reportedly cover 19 stations and span a distance of 30km.

The first phase of the MRT covered 15 stations from Sungai Buloh to Semantan.

The MRT Line was first announced by Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak during the tabling of the 10th Malaysia Plan in June 2010.

We can’t wait for the new stations to open because the traffic jams and fluctuating petrol prices lately are driving us insane!
