M'sian Baffled as Double-Parker Leaves Contact Number & Phone Inside Car
One driver was left confused and amused when she encountered a double-parked vehicle that had a phone number displayed with the phone also being left behind in the car.
Sharing the funny event through Xiaohongshu, the driver said she noticed her car had been blocked by a double-parker. But, she didn't think much about it when she saw the other driver had thoughtfully left their number in the car.
However, she later realised that the other driver had displayed their number on the dashboard by using the very same phone the number was registered to.
“I pressed the number and called it. Only to find the phone that's displaying the number on the car's dashboard started vibrating. The caller ID was my number,” they shared.
Thankfully, the owner of the double-parked car rushed back when the driver gave a few honks. The double-parker later explained that she panicked when she couldn't find a parking spot and apologised profusely.
According to a source, the driver theorised that the double-parker may be in a hurry to bring a sick pet to the vet as she emerged from a nearby clinic.
While the incident was undeniably amusing and praised the double-parker for leaving her number, other social media users pointed out how dangerous it is to leave a phone in the car.
