Yesterday, Malaysians were horrified to learn that yet another stabbing incident had occurred at a school in Selangor.
In a video that has since gone viral, the suspect, a teenage girl, can be seen walking around the school compound while holding a knife. She was also captured on CCTV chasing another female student.
According to a report, a 15-year-old student suffered multiple injuries, mostly to her back, as well as her face and head, after being stabbed about 14 times.
“I thought my daughter had fallen ill”
Meanwhile, the father of the victim shared that he was at work sorting goods when he first noticed that he had multiple missed calls on his mobile phone.
Mohd Firuz Ibrahim, 43, said he initially thought the calls from his daughter's teacher were to inform him that she had fallen ill or developed a fever. However, he was horrified to learn that his daughter had been the victim of a stabbing.
“When I arrived, she was in quite a bad condition. It was not long before they took her for a scan to determine the extent of her injuries. She is conscious and able to speak,” Firuz told NST.

In addition to the stab wounds, Firuz said his daughter had suffered an injury to her left lung, and doctors were working to remove blood from the organ.
The victim, who is the second of three siblings, had been studying at the school for the past three years and had never complained of being harassed or having problems with other students.
It was also reported that the victim knew the suspect, who attended the same school, as they had been classmates last year.
Firuz added that he did not believe his daughter was the intended target and felt she was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time.
“Maybe she wanted to target someone else, but my daughter happened to be the closest to her and may not have been able to run away in time,” he said.
Following the tragic incident, Firuz said he was saddened by what had happened to his daughter and hoped the school would improve its security measures.
