M’sian Shares How He Saved a Woman Who Was Allegedly Being Followed by Man in Mall Parking Lot
These days, there are many cases of people being followed by unknown individuals. While it’s easy to brush it off by assuming they’re just heading in the same direction, you can never be too careful.
This was especially true for one Malaysian man who witnessed a suspicious incident involving a man seemingly following a lone woman in the parking lot of a local shopping mall.
Sharing his experience on TikTok, the man—known as Fitri Azeez—recounted how he saw a man wearing a cap and a mask who appeared to be following a woman walking alone. According to Fitri, he began to sense something was wrong when he noticed the man repeatedly glancing around.
“So what did I do? I started shouting to get the woman’s attention. I approached her immediately and asked how she was doing. I purposely raised my voice at that moment."
"Then, I whispered to her and told her not to look around, and that I would escort her to her car. Along the way, I kept talking to her as if we knew each other. Once we reached her car, I told her to send my regards to her mother and watched as she left the parking lot,” he said.
Fitri added that he looked around for the unknown man afterward, but he was no longer in sight. He explained that he didn’t attempt to chase the man, fearing that something bad might happen.
The video has since gone viral on TikTok, with many Malaysians praising Fitri for his quick thinking. Others urged people—especially women walking alone—to always stay alert and aware of their surroundings.
“Thank you for being a kind person. Thank God the woman understood the situation—she probably noticed your reaction. Good job!”
One user commented, “Thank you for not having the mindset of ‘it’s not my problem’ in this kind of situation.”
“Please do not wear headphones or any noise-cancelling devices when walking alone. It’s dangerous because you won’t be aware of your surroundings,” said another user.
