M’sian Woman Surprises Husband With Giant Money Bouquet Worth RM31K For His 31st Birthday

A woman from Kelantan has an extravagant way of showing her appreciation to her husband: she gifts him a massive cash bouquet worth RM31,000 on his birthday.

Nia Syaqiera, 30, the founder of Rohina mascara, said the amount she chose symbolises her husband's age, as he turned 31 on January 18.

As reported by NST, Nia revealed she had been planning the stunning gift since last year.

“I gave him a replica cheque worth RM18,194 last year, which represents his date and year of birth. After that, I started saving for this cash bouquet.”

Sharing the process of putting the huge amount of money into the giant bouquet, Nia said it only took her about 15 minutes to do so with the help of others. She also said it only cost her a few hundred ringgit to order the shell of the bouquet.

Her husband shared the money with their mothers and gifted some to their employees

Nia further shared that her husband, Mohamad Rahim Md Asri, had expressed his wish to own a new mobile phone for his birthday, so she went to buy him one.

But when the giant bouquet arrived at midnight, her husband was shocked and deeply touched

Instead of keeping the money for himself, Nia said her husband decided to give RM1,000 to each of their eight employees.

“He also shared some with my mother and his mother and even with me, though I initially declined,” she added.

In the interview, Nia shared that while the gift was definitely over-the-top, it couldn't match her husband's sacrifices.

She explained, “I'll never forget how he insisted on marrying me just two months after my father passed away in 2016. Despite the financial constraints, we had ‘nikah gantung’ (deferred solemnisation).”

The founder also shared how she was extremely grateful to her husband, who helped take care of her mother and older brother, who has a disability and is living together with them.
