M'sians Urge Caution Over Alleged Scammer Targeting Small Businesses, Police Report Filed
In a series of viral videos, netizens are urging the public to be aware of a man who allegedly has scammed or tried to scam a number of businesses in the Klang Valley area.
Recently, the scammer, who is believed to be a foreigner, reportedly tried to scam a muffin shop in PKNS Shah Alam. However, he failed to do so after a few customers recognised him from other viral videos.

It is understood that the tactic used involved the scammer wanting to purchase a product before cancelling it. He would repeat the process a few times to confuse the vendor. Eventually, he would hide his money and tell the vendor that he indeed wanted to purchase the product but insisted he had given the money to the vendor.
Aside from the muffin shop, the same guy allegedly tried to pull the same scam at a shop selling beauty products in KL. The interaction was recorded on the shop CCTV before it was shared on TikTok.

Police report made
According to another TikTok video, a police report has been made regarding the scamming attempt. However, the caption of the video stated that the police cannot do much as there's no loss involved.
