Always wanted to be a part of the Guardians Of The Galaxy? Well, now you can.
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is currently looking for a suitable candidate to defend the planet from alien lifeform. The job, which comes with an ultra gempak title of 'Planetary Protection Officer', requires the candidate to ensure alien life -- or what NASA calls "organic-constituent and biological contamination" -- doesn't make its way back into the spaceship.
According to the job listing, the candidate is also responsible for the "leadership of NASA's planetary protection capability, maintenance of planetary protection policies, and oversight of their implementation by NASAs space flight missions."
The candidate must have "advanced knowledge of Planetary Protection" and experience in "overseeing nationally significant space programs".
So, we guess watching Star Wars doesn't count, then?
Of course, protecting the planet is hard work, so the candidate will reportedly get a starting annual salary of between USD124,406 - USD187,000 (RM533,017 - RM844,243)!
So, how do you sign up? Unfortunately, only US citizens are allowed to apply for the job, so yeah, that's officially out of the window.
Sigh. Guess we'll just stick to writing articles for you guys lah.
