Boy, 2021 has not been a kind year for local celebrity Neelofa.

After being fined a total of RM60,000 for breaching movement control order (MCO) SOPs last month, Neelofa has found herself back in the police station again.

A trip to the police station

This time, the actress-turned-entrepreneur have been summoned by the police to give her statement regarding a recent shopping trip.

Berita Harian reported that the 32-year-old and her husband, Muhammad Haris Mohd Ismail, spent four hours at the Ibu Pejabat Polis Daerah (IPD) Nilai to have their statements recorded.

Someone's in trouble again.
Nilai District Police Chief Superintendant Mohd Fazley Ab Rahman told the Malay portal that the couple was hauled in for questioning after several photos and videos of them allegedly crossing state borders to shop for carpets at Nilai 3 went viral over the weekend.

On top of the pair, Supt Mohd Fazley also confirmed that the police have recorded the statements of the owner and helper of the carpet store which is located in Pusat Perniagaan Borong Nilai 3.

"The investigation papers will be handed over to the Deputy Public Prosecutor once the investigations are over," Supt Mohd Fazley was quoted as saying.

Happily shopping, we see.
On Sunday, Neelofa and her husband drew the ire of netizens when they were spotted shopping for carpets at Nilai 3 despite the ongoing interstate travel ban.

Several photos and videos uploaded by Neelofa and the owner of the carpet store went viral on Twitter, but they have since been deleted (but hey, like they say, the internet remembers).

Neelofa and PU Riz were previously fined RM60,000 for violating COVID-19 SOPs during their extravagant wedding and travelling to Langkawi for a dubious "business trip" recently.

Sigh, when will they ever learn.
