Netizens Praise FT Minister For Giving Shelter, Haircuts To The Homeless During MCO
The new government has received tonnes of flak from Malaysians, no thanks to their recent boo-boos during the COVID-19 pandemic.
However, credit has to be given where it is due no matter how much we disagree or dislike a certain politician.
Federal Territories Minister Tan Sri Annuar Musa recently received praises from Malaysians for taking care of the homeless in Kuala Lumpur.
Annuar Musa and his ministry have provided temporary shelters for the homeless by turning six multipurpose or community halls in Kuala Lumpur into living quarters.
Caring for the needy

Hati saya tak kuat melihat keadaan begini...terima kaseh kpd yg membantu.Kita sediakan makan 6 kali sehari,tp selimut, cadar, kain solat, baju, kurang sempurna.Kebersihan&sanitasi perlu di pertingkatkan.Urusan daftar utk pelbagai bantuan yg mereka layak..bantu buat ic yg hilang dll pic.twitter.com/or4QcJf1nt— Annuar Musa (@AnnuarMusa) April 5, 2020
Among the reasons for doing so is to minimise their exposure to COVID-19.Alhamdulillah..Arahan saya supaya di pasang cubicles utk gelandangan segera di laksanakan mim ini..syukur..sy urus selimut pulak pic.twitter.com/2J4qkVDP9Y— Annuar Musa (@AnnuarMusa) April 6, 2020
Besides shelter, the state government also provides food, mattresses, blankets, clothing, cubicles, and even haircuts to the homeless.
The Ketereh MP was also very responsive to questions thrown at him on his Twitter.
Netizens were touched by the noble act and shared their thoughts via social media.
I'm proud of Malaysia, man. USA placed their homeless in parking lot in the middle of this pandemic while Indian does not even feed their homeless population enough. This is a job deserves of praise, DBKL and @AnnuarMusa. pic.twitter.com/uErruE0aYG— Nazrin (@nazrinsaad) April 2, 2020
random thoughts:jauh di sudut hati kecil diorang, mesti rasa bersyukur sangat kan dapat tidur atas tilam, ada private space sendiri. berapa ramai agaknya dah lama tak tidur lena, tanpa alas, kena gigit nyamuk, dilayan teruk. i feel so happy for them, terima kasih authorities? https://t.co/K0jTxPPx76— ᵐᵉᵉⁿ ? #StayAtHome (@butterrfliesx) April 7, 2020

That’s very noble of you TS @AnnuarMusa ??Issit also possible to prepare medical facilities for testing & treatments for homeless in other areas too?My concern is if the disease begins to spread in these groups, it will likely accelerate rapidly & be uncontainable. https://t.co/XSU2vQ3nYP— puteri farhana (@putriefarhana) April 8, 2020
