New Attire for Badminton & Paralympic Teams Unveiled After Former Backlash

As you probably know, the unveiling of the official attire for the Malaysian Olympic team led to widespread criticism. This led to the Olympic Council of Malaysia saying they would work on new attire. Now, new (much cooler) attire has been unveiled for the Badminton athletes and the Paris Olympic 2024 Paralympic Games, to the relief of many (probably including the athletes themselves).

The Badminton Association of Malaysia has unveiled attire modelled by its stars, including Chen Tang Jie, Toh Ee Wei, Aaron Chia, Soh Wooi Yik, Pearly Tan, and Thinaah Muralitharan. However, Lee Zi Jia and Goh Jin Wei were missing from the photo. Side note: we personally think the outfits look great, but they truly resemble Piet Mondrian's famous painting Composition with Red, Blue and Yellow.

Netizens seemed to like the outfits, but many thought that they would be more suitable for the French team as the colours were red, white, and blue without yellow. One X user even compared the attire to the building of Kolej Ungku Omar, Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris.

The Paralympic Council Malaysia unveiled the official leisure outfit for the Paralympic Games, which was white with red, yellow, and blue stripes. This outfit incorporated the Jalur Gemilang in a contemporary way.

It was modelled by Muhammad Imaan Aiman from Para Swimming, who looked resplendent in the attire instead of shoddy mannequins. These are being sold on the X account @NervesMalaysia.

Netizens seemed to love this one more, with many saying they wanted to purchase the stylish attire.
