New Prime Minister For M'sia? Not Yet; King To Meet Political Party Leaders First
Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has to wait a little longer to find out if his plans of becoming the next Prime Minister will bear fruit.
He had an audience with Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah earlier today (13 October), but no conclusive decision has been made. "Praise be to Allah, as promised during the press conference on September 23, I have presented a list of convincing majority of Members of Parliament who support me to His Majesty Yang Di-Pertuan Agong " he said during a press conference shared live on Facebook.
He said that the documents consisted of sworn statements and support from party leaders.
Anwar said that it was not a time to celebrate victory. There were no winners or losers.
"The real victory is when we are successful in making Malaysia a progressive, prosperous, fair and harmonious country for all her citizens," he said.

King to meet party leaders

Anwar said that the King will be meeting with party leaders in the next few days and said that the King should be given some space with regards to the matter.
According to Channel News Asia's Melissa Goh, DAP leader Lim Guan Eng has confirmed that he's been summoned to the palace for an audience. "I ask all parties to give the space to Duli Yang Maha Mulia to fulfil his responsibilities based on constitution and his discretion," Anwar said.

Prime Minister should resign

Anwar reiterated that Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has lost his majority, and as such should resign.
He also bashed the current government saying that it is not doing enough to handle with the COVID-19 and there are no clear plans to deal with the economic repercussions of the pandemic.

TL;DR: This is all you need to know

There wasn't much of an update during the press conference. All that was new-ish is that Agong is to meet with party leaders before he makes any decisions.
We'll just have to wait and see.
