The Malaysia Animal Association is offering a RM10,000 reward for anyone who can confirm details pertaining to a very disturbing animal abuse video.

The video shows a cat or kitten that looked like it was doused with lighter fluid and set on fire by a person using a lighter.

The terrified burning cat was filmed by the sick person or persons for 45 seconds!

Abusing an innocent creature.

No information as yet

Speaking to Rojak Daily, association president Arie Dwi Andika said that no one has come forward as yet after the group posted the video and the reward on 19 July.

Initially, the association received information stating that the video may have been taken in Pahang but details were sketchy.

Come forward if you have info.

"We now think that it could have happened overseas," he said.

He added that no matter where it happened, the goal was to get justice for the poor animal.

"The person responsible must be caught, prosecuted and punished," he said.

Desperate for information

In an earlier statement, the association said that they were pleading for anyone to come forward with information so that a police report can be lodged and the persons responsible caught.

The group also initially offered a reward of RM3,000 for information but upped the figure to RM10,000.

If you have information on the video, please WhatsApp the association's hotline at +601120901097.

Another way to help is to spread the word through your social media channels.

We hope the persons responsible and caught asap!
