No Change In Fuel Prices Until Further Notice, Says Dr M
You don't need to rush to the pumps anymore.
This Wednesday was a little different compared to the other Wednesdays. It was the first Wednesday since Pakatan Harapan took over the government and if you've been living in Malaysia long enough, you'll know that Wednesday is when we wait with bated breath to see if - gasp! - the fuel prices would shoot up.
Ladies and gents, you can heave a sigh of relief for this week - and probably a couple of weeks to follow!
That's because Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has revealed that fuel prices will remain unchanged.

Also, he hinted that fuel prices will likely remain the same until further notice as "the government will subsidise" if the global prices go up.
He, however, did not reveal how long the fuel prices will remain the same or if the weekly price mechanism, which was introduced in March 2017, will be scrapped.
Meanwhile, Diesel is priced at RM2.18 per litre and Euro 5 diesel goes for RM2.28 per litre.
The last fuel price change came in the last week of March, where fuel prices saw an increase of 10 sen across the board.
