Sabah snap elections is just a few weeks away - on 26 September 2020, and a group of youths have joined forces to enable more Sabahans in the peninsular to return home to vote.

The group, Pulang Mengundi Sabah, was started by nine youths who are either from the state or living there, Malay Mail reported.

They are pooling resources, expertise and network to help Sabahans, especially youths between the age of 21 and 35, to fly back and vote.

So far, they have received 1,600 applications, not only from the target group, but also from older people.

However, the group has only managed to collect RM2,500 so far so they will have to be selective of whom and how many they can help.

How to contribute

You don't have to worry that your money will not be utilised for the purpose it was given as you will get proof of flight ticket purchases as the transactions are completed.

If you're a Sabahan who needs help buying flight tickets back home to vote, you can send in your applications by 18 Sept 2020.
