Pandelela Rinong Brings Home Malaysia's First Diving World Cup Medal
Our national diver Pandelela Rinong has brought home Malaysia's first medal for individual diving at the 2018 FINA Diving World Cup on Wednesday (6 June).
She nailed the bronze medal in the women's 10m individual platform after turning things around.
According to The Star, the two-time Olympic medallist had initially managed to only qualify for the semi-finals during the preliminary round on Tuesday (5 June).
But the 25-year-old came back strong with a total of 349.15 points after five dives in the final round.

We now eagerly await the women's 10m platform synchro event where Pandelela will partner Jun Hoong, who are both the reigning silver medallist at the 2016 Rio Olympics and gold medallist at the recent 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.
The unbeatable Pandelela-Rinong pair. So there is a high chance to see another medal from the two diving queens!
