That's because Parkson is having a massive big clearance sale at its MyTOWN Shopping Centre outlet, so you can get something for a decent price!

Closing down the outlet

Yes, Parkson is shutting down its operation in the shopping centre after operating there for the past three years.

Parkson announced the news on its Facebook page last Thursday (26 December):

According to the Facebook post, the sale will be held from 27 December 2019 to 2 February 2020.

"Levels 1 & 2 will be closed by 19 January, 2020. However, the sale will continue at Ground Floor until 2 February 2020. Come shop before everything's gone!!!," read the announcement.

A Parkson spokesperson confirmed that the store will cease operations, The Edge Markets reported.

"The retail market is very dynamic. Store opening and closing is part and parcel of doing business. In Malaysia, shopping malls are mushrooming everywhere and the demographics are ever changing."

Of course, Malaysians being Malaysians (we just love our sales!), news of the closure had Netizens really, really excited:

Notabley, Parkson also shut down its 126,000sq ft outlet in Suria KLCC on 17 February last year. Parkson had been operating there since 1998.

On 30 June, Parkson closed its outlet in M Square Mall, located in Millenia City, Puchong. The store closed after just 18 months of operation.
