PDRM: Woman Who Died on KESAS Highway Was Not Thrown From Van, But Jumped Out Herself
On May 6, 2025, a 44-year-old woman was found dead after she was reportedly thrown from a moving van along the KESAS Highway near the Awan Besar R&R.
Early reports revealed that a witness claimed to have seen the woman being ejected from the van before the vehicle fled the scene.
Another witness, Faizan Ahmad, 34, who was on his way to work that day, said he immediately stopped his car upon seeing the woman rolling on the road and approached her.

“She was still alive when I and other road users came to her. She asked us to perform CPR, but I didn’t dare to do so as there was too much blood. Another person performed CPR on her while I called for an ambulance. Unfortunately, she passed away when help arrived,” he recalled, as reported in Kosmo!.
The woman was later identified as being of Chinese descent and from Menglembu, Ipoh. Her husband has since been arrested.
The woman was reportedly arguing with her husband before the incident
In an update, police investigations revealed that the woman did not fall from the moving vehicle but had jumped out herself.

Kuala Lumpur Police Chief, Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa, said that during interrogation, the woman’s husband revealed they were arguing about her occasionally driving the van despite not having a driver’s license.
He shared, “During the argument, the woman told her husband that she was going to jump out of the vehicle, and then proceeded to do so. Her 50-year-old husband continued the journey home, where he was later arrested the same day.”
The husband is currently on remand until May 10 to assist in the investigation, which is being conducted under Section 304(a) of the Penal Code for causing death by negligence.
