Perhilitan To Set Up Traps To Control Population After Wild Boar Strays Into Mall In Putrajaya
Remember that wild boar that made a surprise appearance at Alamanda Shopping Mall in Putrajaya?
Well, authorities believe that there could be more nearby.
According to a post by Perhilitan via their Facebook page, following investigations, authorities believe that the wild boar came from somewhere near the Presinct 16 lake.
"Following the viral video of the wild boar at Amalanda, Putrajaya on 6 December 2020, Perhilitan together with the Putrajaya Corporation Wild Animal Unit have conducted investigations at the location.
"Investigations revealed that the wild boar came from an area close to the Presinct 16 lake in Putrajaya and had most probably strayed from its group," said Perhilitan.
Perhilitan added that they would increase surveillance in the area and place traps to control the population of wild boars there.

"Putrajaya Corporation and the management at Alamanda, Putrajaya will also improve waste management to prevent more wild boars from nearing the area in the future," they added.
We hope that the authorities treat the wild boar well and relocate them to a safer place.
The poor stray wild boar was probably just looking for food when it strayed into the mall.
Not the animal's fault at all.
Remember, we share this earth with all creatures great and small.
