The government is planning on allowing more freedom for Malaysians who have received two doses of COVID-19 vaccines.

Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said this could include allowing dine ins and travels.

But not so soon

According to The Star, the Prime Minister has asked for relaxation to be considered for those who've gotten two doses of vaccines as this will show that as we battle COVID-19, life can go back to normal.

"The national recovery plan will take until the end of the year, so let’s be patient. Be confident that we can win this war," he reportedly said during a press conference.

Calling the vaccination programme "light at the end of the tunnel", the prime minister hopes that the country can keep up the momentum of vaccinating over 400,000 people in a day.

"Now, our focus is the greater Klang Valley. Through our targeted measures, we can deal with the Covid-19 infections better.

"We hope that our vaccine supplies will also continue increasing this month and next, so we can keep to our projection of completing the recovery plan by the end of the year," he had said.

As much as it feels like we're all living in a prison now, we're not quite sure if allowing greater freedom is a good idea at this point. There will be many who will abuse this for sure.

Hopefully, a lot more Malaysians are vaccinated by the end of the year and we have more freedom to move safely.
