Pollution Detected At Sungai Selangor Again, Unscheduled Watercuts For Over 1 Million Accounts
Pollution again everyone!
There will be an unscheduled water disruption involving more than a million accounts in Kuala Lumpur, Petaling, Klang, Shah Alam, Kuala Selangor, Hulu Selangor, Gombak and Kuala Langat starting 6pm today.
In a statement, the Selangor Water Management Board (LUAS) said that the unscheduled disruption was due to odour pollution detected along Sungai Selangor.

Solvent could be the cuprit.
LUAS said that the odour seemed like it could be due to some kind of solvent in the water.The body also said that they were now in the midst of flushing out the pollutants detected.
"LUAS, Air Selangor all parties involved are in the midst of conducting investigations and will take immediate mitigation actions. Any developments will be informed from time to time," they said.
