Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, have revealed the name of their first child - Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.

The name was announced on their official Instagram account, with a black and white photo of Prince Philip and Queen Elizabeth II, meeting the latest addition to the family.

To date, the newborn has not been given a royal title because it is not required, but Queen Elizabeth has the power to bestow a title upon the boy.

Meghan gave birth to the royal baby on Monday.

The baby boy is seventh in line to the throne, behind the Prince of Wales, the Duke of Cambridge and his children - Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis and his dad, Prince Harry.
