Many drivers in Malaysia have had our fair share of running into a group of Mat Rempit on the road but unfortunately, most of us can’t do much about it other than to avoid them as much we can.

In an effort to stop illegal bike racing around the residential area, police stopped more than 100 of these road rebels at a roadblock at Taman SPPK, Pasir Puteh at about 1am on Monday morning.

What did the police do right after?

They made these mat rempit push their motorbikes all the way to the district traffic police headquarters, which is over 5km away.

“We seized 116 motorcycles and issued 252 summonses for various offences, including illegal modification to their vehicles, running the red light, dark helmet visor, failure to show the licence and expired licence,” Ipoh OCPD Asst Comm Sum Chang Keong told The Star.
