Have you guys ever looked down when you're in an LRT and felt a little gayat (dizzy)? Now, imagine if the doors were actually open when the train is still moving.

All kinds of 'Final Destination'-like scenario comes to our minds.

Luckily, none of the scenarios our overactive minds conjured happened when a RapidKL train traveled from Ara Damansara station to Lembah Subang station.

Everyone is safe and RapidKL apologised

The incident came into light when a passenger in the train shared a short video on social media with the caption "and suddenly I feel like I'm in Divergent..." tagging RapidKL.
In the video, passengers can be seen recording the journey, with the person who shared it on Twitter looking worried.

RapidKL was quick to respond, publishing an apology soon after.

Oops

In a press statement shared on its social media pages, RapidKL explained that the incident was noticed immediately by its Operations Control Centre and the train was taken out of service two minutes after the train reached Lembah Subang station.

"Rapid KL apologises over an incident that happened yesterday around 3.01pm on 26 July 2021, where the doors of the LRT Kelana Jaya line train remained open during operations after its departure from LRT Ara Damansara Station heading towards LRT Lembah Subang Station," the statement read.

According to the statement, there were seven passengers in the train during the incident and all were evacuated safely.

Phew! That must have been a nerve wreaking two minutes for the passengers. We're glad everyone is safe and sound.
