Rare, Flawless 102-Carat Oval Diamond To Be Auctioned Off In Hong Kong Soon
A fan of jewels?
Then this must be right up your alley.
A flawless 102-carat oval diamond is set to be auctioned at Sotheby's in Hong Kong this October.
AFP reported that the diamond has no price estimate.
However, from the looks of it, it's going to cost an arm and a leg as it is a rare egg-shaped stone with the highest colour grade, D, for a white diamond and is rated Type IIA for its chemical purity as well as exceptional transparency.

The market will decide price
Sotheby's New York head of jewellery Quig Bruning, said the house is "letting the market decide what the value of this diamond is."
"Historically, diamonds of this calibre and this size have sold anywhere from about US$11 million up to US$33 million.
"We're offering without reserve and without estimate," he said.
The report said only seven other white diamonds of more than 100 carats have been auctioned off in the world.
