It has been a tough year for a lot of people, and kind-hearted Malaysians from all walks of life are helping out as much as they can:

It doesn't matter if they are not from a well-to-do family; some Malaysians, like this makcik for example, do what's in their power to help the needy.

Helping those in need

Doing it for the needy.
Determined to help those in need, especially during the conditional movement control order (CMCO), a woman from Terengganu has been selling breakfast for a mere RM1 at her stall in Kampung Tasik Padang Khabor.

According to a report by Harian Metro, Nurul Hidayu Zulkifli started her humble breakfast stall on 14 October with only having four items on her menu, but she has since added up to 70 items on some days.

The 34-year-old told the news portal that her intention is not to make big profits, but to help those affected by the pandemic.

“If people are affected (by the CMCO), I hope that at the very least, they can buy from my stall and save some money.

“My goal is to have 100 types of menu items by next year to offer more variety and fulfil our customers’ requests,” Nurul Hidayu was quoted as saying.

Nurul Hidayu's menu prove to be a hit, as the report said that her breakfast items usually sell out within an hour.

Nurul Hidayu also said that she feels great that she gets to help families with many children to afford breakfast.

“There are some customers who come with six kids and they have fun knowing that they can pick two to three items for each person compared to buying from other places.”

What a kind-hearted person! Keep up the good work, Nurul Hidayu!
