Room in KL With ‘Beautiful View’ Listed for RM650 Per Month, M’sian Compares It to a Grave Hole
The rising cost of living in Malaysia has caused prices of essentials like food and property to increase. However, one room rental listing in Kuala Lumpur recently went viral after Malaysians noticed its unusually small size.
In a post shared on Facebook, the room, believed to be part of a high-rise unit in the city, appears barely large enough to fit a single bed, leaving almost no space for movement, let alone additional furniture. One side of the wall features a window covered with a black curtain.

Despite the claustrophobic space, the listing boasted “a beautiful view.” It was priced at RM650 per month.
As of this article, the post has received 6.9K reactions from social media users and has garnered 1.7K comments.
Many commenters had a field day roasting the listing, while others felt the price was too steep for such a tiny space—even if it’s located in the city centre.
“Is this the room to train for when you're dead?”

One user said, “It's better if you went to jail. The size of the cell looks almost similar and it's free.”
“This is ridiculous. A room this small with only a ‘good view’ as a selling point costs RM650? I think it's better to rent a whole house. This is not the way to get rich faster, you’re just taking advantage of others," commented another.
