If you have always dreamt of travelling to space, well, here’s your chance.

A space corporation in Russia is planning to bring the first tourists to space, and it's happening sooner than you think!

'Rare and exhilarating experience'

Russia’s Energia space corporation has announced that they will be bringing tourists to space as soon as 2023, AFP-Relaxnews reported.

The announcement was made after they inked a contract with space tourism agency Space Adventures.

According to the report, two normal civilians, like you and us, will get a chance to rocket to the International Space Station and conduct a space walk there in 2023.

“We plan that one of the participants of the expedition will do a spacewalk from the Russian segment, together with a professional Russian cosmonaut,” Energia said in a press statement quoted by the report.

This could also be you!
Space Adventures, in promoting the space walk on its website, described it as a “rare and exhilarating experience".

“If you choose to fly to space on the Russian Soyuz spacecraft, you have the opportunity to... conduct a spacewalk, accompanied by a professional cosmonaut,” it further said.

If you're still a little bit hesitant (we don't blame you), it's safe to note that the company and the space agency has flown eight tourists to the ISS between 2001 and 2009.

Hey, who knows, maybe you'll bump into an alien or two on the way there.
