The government has announced that Conditional Movement Control Order will be imposed in Sabah, Kuala Lumpur, Selangor and Putrajaya.

Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said that the Sabah CMCO will start at 12.01 a.m on 13 October, while for the rest, it will start the following day.

Ismail Sabri said in light of increasing number of COVID-19 cases in places like Klang and Petaling, the government made the decision to impose CMCO in Klang Valley until 27 October.

As for Sabah, CMCO will be in place till 26 October.

The restrictions for both all the states are pretty much the same. Here are some of the details:

• Movement between districts are not allowed. However, if you work outside of your district, you can show your work tag or a letter from employer to leave the district.
• Only two people from a household are allowed to go together to buy necessities.
• All education institutes including schools, kindergartens, tafiz schools, colleges and universities will be closed.
• All religious institutes will be closed.
• No sports and recreational activities will be allowed.
• Night clubs and entertainment outlets cannot be open.
• All economic sectors including small businesses will be allowed to operate but with strict SOPs.
• Pasar borong and pasar pagi will be open.
• Food delivery is allowed till 8 p.m.

Stay home, stay safe

As usual, the rule of thumb when it comes to any kind of MCO is to stay home and stay safe.

Work from home if you can, only go out for work or to buy the necessities, and practice good hygiene, physical distancing and all other SOPs.
