What would you do if you found a wild animal in your bathroom?

You probably would make a mad dash for the door, right?

Luckily for a family in Sarikei, Sarawak, the wild animal that they discovered was a slow loris or locally known as kongkang which meant that they had a preeeeeetty long time to act.

Getting help fast

According to a Malay Mail report quoting the Borneo Post, a family member from the household quickly alerted the Sarikei Fire and Rescue Services Department upon realising about the presence of their surprise guest.

Lost and confused.
The family lives close to the jungle and it is believed that the slow loris entered their bathroom through an iron grill covering the toilet's ventilator fan.

That must have been quite an adventure for the poor slow loris!

Returned home

Fire and rescue department officials then took about 10 minutes to capture the animal, and it was later released back into the forest.

I just want to go home.

Slow lorises are nocturnal primates and are a protected species in Sarawak.

We hope this little fella is happy that's he's back on familiar turf and finds his way back home.
