Schola Rolls Out Free Career Platform to Help M'sian Students Discover Their Dream Jobs
Schola, Malaysia’s first free digital career exploration platform for secondary school students, was officially launched on Saturday (April 26) at The Grounds, MAHSA Avenue, Kuala Lumpur. The event, called “Kepoh Kerja dengan Schola,” was a career discovery festival featuring over 50 professionals and nearly 700 attendees, packed with activities to help young people explore real career paths.
Developed by Creador Foundation, Schola aims to answer a big question: How can students make informed decisions about their future if they don’t know what careers are out there?
“Students are always asked what they want to be when they grow up, so we want to start career exposure much earlier,” said Maha Subramaniam, Vice President of Creador Foundation and Head of Schola.

“We talked to over 1,000 students and found that career alignment usually happens near graduation based on the chosen course. We want to change this by encouraging students to explore career paths earlier and choose courses that truly match their interests and ambitions.”
Schola has developed over 150 job guides through interviews with 230 professionals across various industries. Students can take a fun career personality quiz, match their favorite subjects to potential careers, and explore STEM and TVET fields.
Since its beta launch in August 2024, Schola has reached over 190,000 users across all states, generated 4.7 million organic social media views, and gained support from 2,300 teachers nationwide.

At the launch, Shanthi Kandiah, protector of Creador Foundation, said, “By encouraging students to think about their future fields of study and careers earlier, we aim to help them see the bigger possibilities ahead. Schola is committed to giving young people a long-term perspective and supporting them through any obstacles.”
The event welcomed students from 10 schools, various community and education NGOs across the Klang Valley, educators, content creators, and youth leaders. Hosted by TV host Ceddy Ang, it featured content creators Amin x Abid and a panel discussion with education experts on why students struggle with career decisions today.
"Kepoh Kerjaya dengan Schola” also had "Apa Kata Pakar" Ask-Me-Anything booths with professionals from over 40 careers, career personality quizzes, financial reality games, and photo booths to spark curiosity and confidence.
“This isn’t just any career guidance platform,” Maha added. “It was built by young Malaysians who recently faced these same questions. They created something that actually works because they know what it feels like to be unsure, giving students the chance to explore untapped possibilities in finding the right career path.”
