Selangor School Praised for Providing Used Uniforms to Students in Need
As there are only a few more days before the new school term begins, it's not surprising to see parents going around trying to find supplies like school books and uniforms for their children.
However, not everyone is fortunate enough to supply their children with brand-new school supplies.
With that concern in mind, one school in Gombak, Selangor, had come forward with their initiative to help those in need.

In a Facebook post, a netizen, known by his username, Wan Luqman, shared how the school had prepared several used school uniforms, all in perfect condition for students in need.
From his post, it is understood that the school, Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Taman Seri Gombak 2 had been doing the same initiative for years but Wan noted the difference in the amount of used uniforms hanged.
“Back then, this uniforms’ display was only small and it's placed in front of the guard's house. But now, the collection is getting bigger. It's all thanks to the school and parents who donated.”
Interestingly, Wan said some donors even give away new school uniforms with the tags still attached.
Netizens’ reactions
Wan's posting has since garnered the attention of other social media users who praised the school for its initiative.
Meanwhile, other users had also shared the same initiative done by other schools in their area.
“Sekolah Kebangsaan Desa Jasmin, Nilai had also done the same. This is my second year helping to manage this programme. It's really helpful for low-income families. Even for those who can afford new uniforms, I urged them to come since many of the uniforms are still in great condition,” said a user.

Another commented, “Such a great idea. It can help ease the burden of low-income families and give opportunities for others to donate.”
