For the next estimated 48 hours, those residing in several parts of Klang, Shah Alam, and Subang Jaya will experience water shortage effective 9pm on Thursday.

Kumpulan Air Selangor in a statement said that the water supply disruption is due to a burst water pipe behind the JVC factory in Section 21, Shah Alam. Repairs are being carried out at the moment and the water supply in affected areas will gradually be reinstated within 72 hours.

The affected areas in Shah Alam and Klang are – Sections 21; 22; 25; 26; 27 and 28; Kampung Kebun Bunga, Kampung Baru Hicom, Subang Mas Batu 3, Batu 3 Shah Alam, Bukit Kemuning, Bukit Naga, Kampung Lombong, Jalan Kebun, UEP and USJ Subang, Sections 32 and 33, Putra Heights, Kampung Bukit Lanchong, Kampung Jawa, Bandar Putera, Taman Maznah, Taman Samarinda, Taman Batu 3, Taman Desa Latania, Taman Desa Kemuning, and Jalan Mohd Sidin.

Subang Jaya residents that will be affected are those who are residing in USJ 1 to USJ 15, USJ 16 to USJ 27, Pinggiran USJ 1, USJ 2, USJ 3, USJ 3A, 3B, 3C and 3D; Subang Heights, USJ Heights; Taman Perindustrian UEP TP1 to TP7, Putra Avenue, Putra Harmoni, and Putra Setia.

Head of Air Selangor’s corporate communications, Amin Lim Abdullah urged residents to use water sparingly throughout this period.

Water tankers will be deployed to critical areas and residents can also request for water supply from tankers by typing “Tanker” followed by their address and send it to 15300.
