‘Social Distancing’ Now Has A New Name, And It's Slightly Harder To Pronounce
Just like wearing face masks and washing your hands, the term 'social distancing' is now something we Malaysians have grown accustomed to.
Too bad the government has decided to change the term 'social distancing'.

On Friday (31 July), the Health Ministry announced via their official Twitter account that they have changed the term 'social distancing'.Now, it is referred to as ‘physical distancing’.

No reason has been given for the change of name, but we are speculating that the term 'social' is too party-like for the Ministry's liking.
However, despite the change of name, the same standard operating procedure (SOP) for 'physical distancing' applies: you must stand one-meter apart when in public.
