Myvi adventures are so renowned that there's even a Facebook page with close to 70,000 followers called 'Myvi Buat Hal Apa Hari Ini?™️' and most people on that page calls the car King.

The curious case of the flying Myvi

Well, another spectacular Myvi moment has gotten netizens perplexed and amazed recently.

We're talking about the magical flying Myvi incident which occured at Jalan Indah, Taman Bukit Indah, Johor Bahru early Monday (22 March) morning.

While the tale is actually a sad one, netizens just could not help but stare in wonder at the car which drifted out from the main road, flew across a monsoon drain and landed perfectly underneath a tree.

A video of the Myvi was posted on social media and it quickly went viral.


"When you accidentally turned on airplane mode ....," posted Voo Yueen Khong.

"Crazy hahah donno how the car fly over," commented Xiou Dell.

What actually happened

As mentioned, the tale of the flying Myvi is actually quite a sad and scary one.

According to a report by Utusan Malaysia, the incident occured at 3.22am on 22 March.

It is believed that the driver lost control of the car which flew over the drain and rammed into the tree.

Officials from the Iskandar Puteri Fire and Rescue Department had to use special equipment to get the injured driver out of the vehicle.

No details were mentioned about why the driver lost control of the vehicle.

While the Myvi looks like it's fairly "unhurt" (at least from the back), significant damage could be seen at the front portion of the car.

That was really a close shave. We hope the driver is doing well too.
