This targeted initiative, aimed at helping Malaysians cope with rising costs, reduces the price of RON95 petrol to RM1.99 per litre, but only for those who verify their identity using MyKad.

While many Malaysians celebrated the announcement, one Singaporean social media user took to X to express frustration, even accusing Malaysia of being selfish.
