Sometimes, it takes a storm to effect change.

After coming under massive fire by social media users for his insensitive comments during a press conference, Datuk Seri Tajuddin Abdul Rahman has lost his job.

Ministry confirms sacking

Goodbye, Tajuddin.
According to a report by The Star Online, Tajuddin has been terminated as the chairman of Prasarana effective immediately.

This came after a letter by the Ministry of Finance addressed to Tajuddin about the termination went viral on social media.

In the letter, Finance Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz informed Tajuddin of the termination, and thanked him for all his contributions.

Tajuddin was appointed non-executive chairman back in May last year.

An officer from the Ministry confirmed to The Star Online that the letter was authentic.
