A teenager from Taiwan, who has been in a coma for more than two months, woke up his brother threatened to eat his favourite food.

Yeah, that really happened.

According to a report by Taiwan News, the 18-year-old teen, only known as Chiu, was seriously injured in a road accident when he was riding his scooter in July 2019.

Local media reported that the teen suffered injuries to multiple organs, and he was already in a deep state of unconsciousness when he was brought to the hospital.

Chiu went through an emergency surgery, and another six surgeries after that.

The website said that for more than 60 days, Chiu was in a constant fight for his life for more than 60 days.

A nurse working at the hospital told the website that Chiu went through a constant "tug of war with the god of death" with his family by his side.

However, on the 62nd day, Chiu's pulse began to accelerate and he miraculously began to regain consciousness when his older brother joked: "Brother, I'm going to eat your favorite chicken fillet."

His vital signs managed to stabilise, and not soon after, he was discharged from the hospital.

Chiu even dropped by the hospital recently to thank the medical team for taking care of him while he was in a coma.
