Hari Raya is about to get a little bit sweeter for some Terengganu students.

Astro Awani reported that about 480 students who are studying outside of the state will enjoy free rides home for the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations.

This is because the state, through Yayasan Terengganu, will provide 12 free buses to ferry the students home in conjunction with their ‘Jom Balik Raya Aidilfitri Persatuan Mahasiswa Anak Terengganu (Permata) 2019’ campaign.

Permata public relations officer Muhamad Khairi Mezah told the news portal that the program aims to bring a cheer to the students and reduce their financial burdens.

All 12 buses will move from specified locations on 31 May and is expected to arrive at Yayasan Terengganu on 1 June.

On top of that, the students will also be given sahur meals before the busses take off.
