Terengganu Man Dresses Up Like A Hantu To Scare Kids Who Flout MCO

Despite all the threats and warnings, there are some Malaysians who still do not take the Movement Control Order (MCO) period seriously.

Fed up with his young neighbours flouting the MCO, a man in Terengganu devised the perfect scare tactic to spook them into obeying the rule.

Ghostly sightings

Muhammad Urabil Alias dressed himself up as a hantu to scare youngsters at Taman Anika Jaya, Kampung Tempurung in Chukai because they were still refusing to adhere to the MCO.

Muhammad Urabil posted several photos of him standing on top of a van in an all-white outfit on his Facebook page.

"I'm willing to do this. I'm bored staying at home at night," he wrote.

Malay Mail, quoting a report from Harian Metro, said that the scare tactic, while only staged for social media, actually worked as the number of people who came out at night had reduced after he posted the pictures.

“After I uploaded the photos on FB, they panicked and were scared to come out,” he said.

If it's silly but it works, it's not silly.
He added that some messaged him on Faceboook after, asking if the hantu was real.

“From my status itself you can see I was not serious but they still think the photos are real.

“My wife and I apologise if we have gone overboard,” he was quoted by the daily as saying.

Hey, you don't need to apologise. If the government can't force them to stay at home, maybe it's time a hantu do so, right?
