When it was announced that all schools will be reopened after an almost four-month layoff, the biggest concern is the compliance of standard operating procedures (SOPs) among school children, especially those in primary school.
Don't worry; this school in Kuala Terengganu has come up with a brilliant idea to combat the spread of COVID-19 in its compound.
Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Pasir Panjang has installed light bulbs outside of the students' toilets to indicate that they are in use, so that there's no over-crowding in the washroom.

And here's the cool part: the school reportedly only spent RM150 for the initiative.

The school's headmaster, Rosli Abd Razak, told the daily that every student who enters the toilet needs to flick the switch on the panel board to indicate that they are using the washroom. "If the red-light bulb lights up on the panel board, it indicates that the toilet is being used and students have to wait until the green light comes on before entering the toilet," he was quoted as saying.
As for the foot-operated sinks, Rosli said it was actually the brainchild of the school's mathematics teacher Norazhar Nordin.
"Teachers and students do not have to use their hands to open the water tap, instead just step on the pedals made of plywood,” he said.
We have to say, this school is definitely living in 3020 while the other schools are still in 2020. Learn from SK Pasir Panjang, please!
