There seems to be lots of fake messages being circulated on social media these days.

The latest news that is currently spreading like wildfire online is that Touch ‘n Go (TNG) Malaysia has issued limited edition cards featuring PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

Here's the thing: TNG has denied issuing such cards, according to Astro Awani.

The supposedly limited edition cards feature a picture of the prime minister-designate with the words 'Hapuskan tol'. According to the fake brochure that's been circulating around, the card enables you to enjoy "free tolls at all major highways".

Seriously, if the fake tagline didn't throw you off, we're pretty sure the free toll thing would, right? It's not like the government promised us that they'll abolish all tolls in the GE14 Pakatan Harapan manifesto, right?

No free lunch in this world, please.
In the Facebook post, TNG advised customers to always refer to official Touch ‘n Go (pages) in Facebook and Twitter (@MyTouchngo) for the latest information on the products and services offered.

“Please be wary of online fraud. Contact us via Facebook Messenger, email at [email protected] or +603 2714 8888 when in doubt,” it said.

Take everything you see on social media with a pinch of salt, guys!
