‘Toxic’ Performance By Malaysian AirAsia Steward Becomes The Internet’s Latest Sensation
These days, with the power of the internet and some interesting content, anything can go viral in just a blink of an eye. Whether it's a professionally-shot photo or an amateur video, if everyone loves it, it’s going to blow up like an angry volcano all over the internet.
This was the case with Assraf Nasir, an AirAsia steward.
On March 17th, Twitter user @FarhanRzman uploaded a video of Assraf, recreating Britney Spears’ Toxic music video. Seeing his window of opportunity of having a vacant plane all to himself (also among the perks of being a cabin crew), Assraf strutted his stuff and danced away in full confidence and energy in his homage to the Princess of Pop.
His dance routine was pretty on point, especially when he was pushing his cart!

The video went viral over the weekend, and was even reposted by their big boss, AirAsia Group CEO Tony Fernandez, on his Instagram account!
Just when they thought their 15 seconds of fame was over, the video then went viral internationally.
The video was picked up by numerous Twitter accounts with massive followings (read: tens to hundreds of thousands of followers).
The video was even shared on popular website 9GAG. It was mostly re-shared with this caption: Now let’s hope that Britney Spears herself will notice this video and acknowledge Assraf. We bet that’ll make his day (or year).
Or even better, Ellen Degeneres! Who knows he might end up on her show.
Whatever it is, thank you Assraf for enlightening our lives with your sassy performance. Keep doing you!
